My Photo

An obsession, have to have it, definitely want to live there! A gal who spends way too many lunch hours at Anthropologie--browsing, making my wish list, inspired, charmed, teased, of course I have to leave with something.. anything! Ahhh..now I can go back to work, I've had my fix.

Sundance Dress

What do you think of this Sundance dress?

I love how the fabric is cut, it hangs so perfectly. I like the brown and orange combination.
I do like the wraps, although I'm thinking you have to be slim to get away with the extra layers without looking bulky. Well, its certainly worth trying on to find out. It cost $198.

Maybe if I lay around like this I could pull it off.......

Monday: Weekend update

Can you believe it's the end of August! I don't want summer to be over, I don't want to wear socks, I don't want my tan- that took months to even become a light shade of caramel brown- to fade away. I could go on and on, but I think you get the point.

Anyway, this weekend was a very productive one in getting a ton of things done around the house. I bought a cool new cellular shade and curtains for the bedroom... Oh wait, it just occured to me that they are the ANTHRO one's I bought way back in ......October! yikes (let me grab the pic).So technically I just bought the shade.

I will take a picture from my room to show you. I also hung curtains in a couple other rooms and a huge mirror in the living room....so nice.

Diabolic Anthropologic Duo

'The other day, antique light bulbs were piled attractively on an old wooden table with sturdy blue legs. A giant wooden sphere, gleaming and beautiful with no discernable purpose, sat in the home section with a fat “sold” ticket on it. A giant antique canopy bed was nestled into a corner. “I thought Helena Christensen wanted that one,” said Mr. Senk, referring to the former supermodel (actresses Ashley Judd and Susan Sarandon are also fans of the store). French chalk in vintage red boxes was piled in a bookcase below books with handsome cracked bindings; when the French factory that produced it was closing, Mr. Johnson ordered 15,000 boxes. “When it’s gone, it’s gone,” said Mr. Johnson, the visionary of the company’s “look,” who travels the world for inspiration. “There are certain things that shouldn’t be reproduced, you know?” '

DOMINO mag...fabulous, scrumptious!

Don't worry, I never use the word scrumptious in real life.. But I swear I can't say enough great things about Domino Magazine and especially September's issue. Domino Rocks! Though I subscribe to the mag, it doesn't always arrive to my lovely mailbox before it hits the stands. (hardly ever).
So YES I had to buy it... YES even though I know I will be getting it in the mail. I have serious issues. This is how ridiculous I am. I could not leave the magazine in the store it was so great. And the same day I go home from Barnes and Nobles, there it is in my mailbox. I just brought one copy to work, so I can drool while sitting at my desk too.

Now on to the goods. On page 175, you have the ever so great Domino deals. I noticed they had an Anna Corinna tote Retail: $388...Domino deal is $291...

When I saw this bag, I knew instantly I'd seen it at Anthropologie.....so I go online and lo & behold its on sale for $249... How awesome right?
go get it ladies..... sweet deal.

pure white ANTHROPOLOGIE

I do love color, really I do, but there's one place that WHITE seems perfect for. The Bathroom.
There's something about having lots of white in a bathroom, that I really like. Maybe its that pure clean feeling you want to have in that room. It just feels good. It may take a little (or lot) of work to keep it that way.....but it's worth it.

Burning love

I'm a sucker for carved candles.
Especially these with fabulous scrolls and flowers, how can you not love them! I probably wouldn't let them burn very long, because I couldn't bear to see them turn into a melted ruin. Yeah.. I know that's what candles are for..but I have my crappy candles for that.

Monday morn pick

I may not be awake yet.. but I can still shop with one eye open.

Nice combo... I love the pixilated print top with this black sweater dress. Its such a great match. The jumper ensures that the pattern top is not so overwhelming.

A new love

Now you know I love giraffes BUT for the last couple of months I've been drawn to zebra prints.
I have no clue why! I've been trying to think of some small way to incorporate the pattern into my home...maybe a pillow, I repeat.. something small. Haven't done it yet. I think you have to be careful, or before you know it you've crossed over into TACKY.

So naturally I'm loving this belgravia tall tote! It looks like it is constructed so well, from the brushed brass buckles, to the stitching, such great detail. And how about unzipping the bottom to transform into a satchel...what's not to love about that!

It's $598. ahhhh

Champange anyone?

Note to self..must seriously find a way to shop for a living and get paid too!

A-MAZING ring!!! This is ANTHROPOLOGIE's CHAMPANGE RING.....bubbles of sterling silver dipped in 22K gold... it reminds me of a charm necklace but for your ring.
The pic they show is soo small... it looks like they made all their ring pics smaller. I swear I'm not going crazy.

Go to the site to zoom in to see its fully beauty.
